Athletes Training Program at BKSP Regional Centre, Barishal

Special Olympics Bangladesh (SOBD) successfully organized an Athletes Training Program at the BKSP Regional Training Centre, Barishal, on 12 August 2026 with the valuable support of the Local Special Olympics Organizer of Barishal District and BKSP. Mr. Murtoza Iqbal Nury, Athletic Coach and Mr. Abdur Razzaque Football Coach conducted basic label training of Athletic and Football.A total of 78 athletes and partners participated in Athletics and Football training, focusing on fitness, warm-up activities and athlete-friendly techniques. 31 local coaches’ trainees also served as volunteers, gaining valuable practical experience in organizing and conducting training sessions for Special Olympics athletes.The program provided athletes with quality training opportunities while building their confidence, fitness and sports skills.
